Schlager BÄM Worms – Technical Production for a Successful Open Air Debut

On July 16 2022, the schlager festival Schlager BÄM celebrated its premiere at the Kisselswiese fairground in Worms – with over 2,000 visitors, top-class acts from the German schlager scene and a specific goal: an emotional, professionally produced open-air experience with festival character.

Well-known artists such as Undine Lux, Bernd Kieckhäben, Kerstin Ott, Michelle, Bernhard Brink, Sonia Liebing, DJ Mac and – as a last-minute replacement for DJ Ötzi, who was ill – Giovanni Zarrella took the stage. The blend of live music, fan enthusiasm and summer atmosphere turned the event into a real highlight.

Soundline was responsible for the entire technical execution of this production. Our services included sound engineering, lighting technology, video equipment, stage construction and security systems – all the way from planning to implementation on site.

At the heart of the technical implementation was a powerful line array system with 24 L-Acoustics Kara, over 100 spotlights for effect and area lighting, as well as two large-format LED walls, which ensured ideal visibility to the rear of the audience area. In addition, the area was structured and secured with over 100 safety fences.

The challenge was not only the size of the site, but also the versatility of the program: each show required its own lighting and sound profiles, which had to be implemented in a short cycle – live, without compromises. Thanks to a clean direction and stage layout, the event ran smoothly across the board and at the highest technical level.

Schlager BÄM Worms was more than just a concert production for us – it was a full-on open-air production with a clear signature. The strong line-up, the professional scheduling and the solid technical foundation made the festival a success for organizers, artists and audience alike.
